Let us help you close the gap between identification and treatment of obesity.

Our research-backed tools are designed to arm physicians with the education and know-how to recognize and treat overweight and obese adults, adolescents, and children. We offer hands-on training, including:

  • Physician Training in Adult Weight Programs, a 2-day training program on starting up, setting up, and running an effective adult weight loss program. While some doctors work to prevent diseases and others to treat chronic diseases, as an obesity medicine specialist you will spend your day reversing such diseases as hypertension, high cholesterol, and diabetes. Learn how to structure a medical weight loss practice, identify revenue streams, and more.
  • BOUNCE for Physicians, a 2-day training program on the evidence base and the practice base for pediatric and adolescent obesity treatment. In this hands-on program, you will also learn how to implement the BOUNCE system, an approach that combines evidence-based medicine with Dr. Scinta’s own clinical experience working with hundreds of children over the past decade.
  • Online training in adult and pediatric weight loss programs. Coming soon, these educational programs will allow you to learn on demand and from the comfort of your office. Sign up here to be the first to know when these programs become available. Contact us to learn more.

New guidelines help pediatricians tackle childhood obesity.

Dr. Wendy Scinta is the co-author of new guidelines released by the Obesity Medicine Association to help pediatricians and other clinicians provide support in the treatment and prevention of childhood obesity. Known as the Pediatric Obesity Algorithm, the guidelines offer an updated and comprehensive clinical and educational resource based on scientific evidence and clinical experience.

The Algorithm offers a new tool to combat childhood obesity by arming clinicians on the frontlines of care with a multidisciplinary treatment approach that includes best practice techniques for nutrition, exercise, behavior modification, and medical management.
